Our Factory in China
There are fewer and fewer companies that manufacture saunas in North America every year.  The reason is mainly due to the cheap labour in
China and other Asian countries.  In Canada, there are only a couple manufacturers left in Ontario and Quebec, and their saunas are much
more expensive for the same reason....cost of labour and materials.  Some dealers may say they are the manufacturer, but they are not, their
saunas are actually made overseas.   If you are unsure, simply ask them "Are your saunas manufactured in Canada"?

The quality coming out of China has improved incredibly over the past few years.  They had to do that because North Americans want good
quality and are willing to pay for it.  There are only a few real low end, poorly made saunas still available, but most overseas manufacturers
are now making good quality products.

Most sauna dealers buy their saunas from one or more factories in China, depending on the style they are carrying.  We don't do that.  The
reason is that we like to design our own saunas and choose the components we want instead of being limited to buying what they have.   So
what we did is contract a factory that had experience in manufacturing saunas to make our saunas for us.  That way, we get to choose the
type of wood we are going to use, make sure it is kiln dried properly, design the electronics, buy the best components, and ensure the quality
control.  By doing this, we have input in every aspect of the manufacturing process.

We visit our factory 2 to 3 times a year to design new products, streamline our production, and discuss any changes we require.  They are a
real pleasure to do business with. They treat their employees very well, and have a high standard of safety and work ethics.  The factory
employs about 500 workers year round and also manufacturers high end furniture.

Below are pictures showing how our saunas are made.
Logs are rough cut into slabs which are stacked on racks to air dry for a minimum of 60 days.
These racks are then pushed into an oven where they are kiln dried another 45 days to cure the wood properly
and to kill any impurities or parasites in the wood so that fumigation is not necessary.
After kiln drying the wood is then cut into smaller boards and different sized pieces each of which is a component of a sauna.
The parts are then hand assembled.  Each
worker does one job and passes that
component on to the next worker.  This way
each worker is a "specialist" in his part of
the manufacturing process.
The saunas are then taken to another building where they are assembled and the outside wood is treated with a natural
wood satin finish.  All the electrical components are installed.  The wiring is done, and all circuits are tested.
The completed saunas are turned on for 4 hours where
all the controls and heaters are tested and monitored
hourly on a check list.
After testing, the saunas are
disassembled and packed in
boxes for shipping.  Each box is
numbered to make sure the
components of each sauna match.
After that, the saunas are taken to the Quality
Control building for further inspection and
testing.  The saunas are checked to make sure
all the components fit together and adjustments
are made if necessary.
Each sauna's electrical components are individually assembled by hand.
